Yesterday we went to the zoo. I saw three tigers playing with the ball.
I saw a seal. It was cute. I just wanted to pat it.
Then I saw a tall giraffe. I wanted to feed it.

Fire Wise Visit

Yesterday some firemen came to school to teach us about keeping ourselves safe around fire. We learnt that candles are dangerous. If we use candles they should always be in a candle holder.

If we hear our alarm beeping we should get down and get out of our house fast. We should meet our family at a safe place like a letter box.

Only adults should ring 111.

Yesterday we flew our fish kites on the tiger turf. They look bright and beautiful!

Reading with Room21

Today the Year 3s from Room 21 came and read some of their writing and some stories to us. We read our poems to them. They were kind and fun to read with.

Library Story Time

Today we walked over to the Manurewa library and listened to some stories about library cats and a gingerbread man who lives in the library. We also patted the librarians cat!
